Benefits Of The Pellet Feed

Benefits of the pellet feed

1. Forage growth and utilization are greatly affected by the season.

Winter forage yellow, containing fewer nutrients, livestock lack of grass to eat; Warm-season forage grass growth exuberant, rich nutrition, grass livestock can not eat.

Therefore, in order to make full use of the warm season forage grass, after cutting, drying, grinding, processing into grass particles stored, can be fed in winter livestock and poultry.

2. High feed conversion rate.  Winter with forage particles, feed livestock, and poultry, can use less grass, get more meat, eggs, milk.

3. Small volume. Grass pellet feed is only about 1/4 of the volume of raw hay, easy to store and transport, less dust is beneficial to human and animal health;

Feeding convenience can simplify feeding procedures, for the realization of intensive, mechanized animal husbandry production to create conditions.

4. Increase palatability and improve forage quality. For example, melilotus has the special smell of coumarin, which is somewhat disliked by domestic animals. However, after being made into grass granules, it is a forage with strong palatability and high nutritional value.

5. Expand feed sources.Such as caragana, excellent if chenopodium, wood, its thick hard branches, after smashing into grass particles, became livestock-like to eat the forage grass.

Other products such as crop by-products, chaff husks, straw, and various leaves can be processed into grass pellets for feeding livestock and poultry.

Composition and effect of the pellet feed

For all kinds of livestock and poultry, production with feed improves the utilization rate of feed.

With grass meal (green hay, crop straw)55% ~ 60%, concentrate (corn, sorghum, oat, bran, etc.)35% ~ 40%,

minerals and vitamins 3%, urea 1% composition of compound feed, with granular feed press, compressed into granular feed.

When pressing, add 17 kilograms of water per 100 kilograms of material,

add 100 milliliters of formaldehyde solution with a concentration of 37% to improve its nutritional composition and digestibility.

According to the experiment, the lambs of 8 months of age were fattened with pellet feed for 50 days, and the average daily weight gain reached 190 grams.

Using pellet machines to produce feed to feed fat sheep is a feasible way to promote the development of animal husbandry in pastoral and agricultural areas.
